Dr. Kaminsky's Professional Biography

Ilya Kaminsky, licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and Registered Physical Therapist, is a foreign trained Medical Doctor. He is no ordinary foreign graduated Registered Physical Therapist. His twenty-years of experience in the medical field includes completion of Orthopedic Surgery residency and internship in the Ukraine. He achieved significant recognition as the youngest Chief of Surgery at the renowned Ukrainian Institute of Scientific Research of Orthopedics and Trauma. He performed unique surgeries that involved knowledgable skills in such aspects of medicine as anatomy, among others. (For a more detailed look, see his professional experience history.)

Upon relocation to the United States, Dr. Kaminsky successfully challenged the Registered Physical Therapist exam. After that, he completed 2 years of education at Los Angeles College of Chiropractors with the outstanding academic scores that brought him on the first line of the Dean's List. Dr. Kaminsky successfully passed four chiropractic board exams and received his third medical degree as Doctor of Chiropractic.

While completing his extended education, Dr. Kaminsky acquired professional skills through application of his training. In February 1993 he was appointed Co-Director of the Outpatient Physical Therapy department of Midway Hospital. Since September 1994 Dr. Kaminsky supervised the physical therapy department of the Institute of Sports medicine. In October 1995 he became Director of the Physical Therapy department of the Comprehensive Rehab Healthcare Network, Inc., including the departments of physical therapy, the departments of occupational and speech therapy, as well as the departments of chiropractic. This also included five of the inpatient and outpatient rehab facilities of the hospitals, as part of Orenda (currently Tenet) corporation.

Finally, using his prefessional and educational accomplishments, Dr. Kaminsky opened his own chiropractic, physical therapy and rehabilitation medicine clinics, which are unlike any other facilities in Southern California.

His goals are to motivate, educate and rehabilitate patients so that they can return to work, to increase their fucntional status and achieve independence in all activities of daily life in record time.

Dr. Kaminsky's office is equiped with the latest technologies for physical therapy and rehabilitation. From tables to excerise equipment, to ultrasound, his facilities are constantly updating and evolving to stay on the front-lines of medical technology.
